Day 1 - Before - getting ready to start demo.
Day 1 - After - Cleaned everything out of fridge and cabinets, took 3 cabinet doors off.
Day 2 - Took off paneling, got nails out.
Day 3 - Took off linolium on walls, did electrical on south wall, put up baby gate, Scott also redid the wiring to the hall light.
Day 4 - Sunday Break =)Day 5 - Turned off water to dishwasher and sink, removed dishwasher, sink and cabinet doors/drawers & cabinet hardware.
Day 6 - Didn't do much, just got one chunk of countertop out.
Day 7 - Got the countertop out and bottom cabinets out, except for 2 inches of wood base they were sitting on.
Day 8 - Got top cabinets out. Found writing on them. "Erected in the winter of 1940 & 41' By J.F. Watson." and "Built for Mary Ann Pack Watson. Wife of Joseph F. Watson."
Day 9 - Got base of bottom cabinets out, removed 2 layers of carpet, 1 carpet pad and 1 layer of linoleum to get to floor. Removed nails and staples from everywhere we saw. Drew lines for the cabinet heights, and marks for their widths on the wall so we know where to put the new, updated electrical.
Just for comparison, this is close to what the kitchen looked like shortly after we moved in. We took this picture when we took down the wall and made a half wall.

You are getting a new kitchen! I can't wait to see the finished product :)
And also, how fun to see all the history of your house/previous homeowners' info during your demo :)
