To Cali we go.... again!

So although we were just in Cali visiting my sister and baby John, we needed to go out again. My sister got really sick shortly after we left. She had been to the Doctors and E.R. multiple times. It had been going on for 3 or 4 weeks and she wasn't getting better so she asked if we could come help out. My sister spent 3 days in the hospital while we were there. Gratefully they figured out the problem and got a treatment started immediately. Erosive Esophagitus and Gastritis was the problem. Basically her insides were burning up from acid so she couldn't eat and had a lot of pain.

Sam and I flew there alone. He did great! When we got to Long Beach we went and found somewhere to eat and spent a few minutes at the beach while we waited for rush hour to end before driving an 1 1/2 to my sisters in Murrieta.

We at a La Palapas on the beach. =) The pic of Sam in the maroon shirt was shortly after getting in the water. I put him in one of my shirts because he was all sandy and wet. The sand took about a week to fully get off his scalp.

And we took few pics on the beach. It was windy!

Things were quiet for a while after this while my sister was in the hospital. We took care of baby John who is such a good baby. I loved his smiles! When she got back we decided to go to the lake by her house. Well apparently it doesn't allow people getting in the lake, but it had a splash pad right by it. My sister and baby John sat in the shade of a tree while Sam and I played. Sam had a great time, but we wore my sister out and may have over done it a bit for her first day out of the hospital.

We did a lot of grocery shopping. They put my sister on a very restrictive diet. My brother-in-law Dan was cute and caught a lizard to show Sam.  He loved seeing the lizards but we could never catch one ourselves.

The day before we left my sister took Sam and I to her hubbies goat dairy in Ontario. Sam loved feeding the goats! They are very social! Afterwards we went to their Corona house and Sam played with the birds and went out to say hi to the cows behind the house.

My sister felt mostly better by the time we left, but was still unsure about being alone so my cousin Heather flew in as I flew out. We gave each other a quick hug and a hi by security before switching places. The rest of the trip home went smoothly and was fairly uneventful. We are especially thankful that they found out what was wrong with my sister so she can get better. She is feeling 95% herself now, but it may take up to 8 weeks for her to fully heal.
